What is RCS Business Messaging?
RCS (Rich Communication Services) Business Messaging lets a business send branded messages with images, rich cards, carousels, suggested replies and suggested actions inside a customer's own messaging app, such as Google Messages on supported Android phones.
How is RCS different from SMS?
SMS is text-based and works on almost every phone. RCS adds rich cards, carousels and one-tap replies and actions, but it depends on the customer's device, network and messaging app. Many businesses use both.
Is RCS available for every customer?
No. Availability varies by device, network, region and messaging app. RCS-to-SMS fallback workflows can be implemented where supported by the messaging provider and channel configuration.
Can CrystalPro set up RCS for our business?
Yes. We provide RCS onboarding and setup assistance, integration and implementation. Sender approval and activation are decided by Google and the messaging providers, so we can't guarantee approval or timelines.
Do you provide SMS and OTP messaging?
Yes. We implement transactional SMS, OTP messaging, business notifications and API-driven SMS workflows, with DLT-compliant messaging setup and support where applicable.
Can you run bulk SMS and campaign messaging?
We build campaign messaging workflows and campaign management integration for customers who have opted in, following DLT and operator requirements. We don't guarantee operator approval or delivery.
Can we track delivery and read status?
Delivery and read-status tracking is available where supported by the channel or messaging provider, and those events can be recorded in your CRM or backend.
Do you integrate WhatsApp as well?
Yes, as an additional business messaging channel integrated with your systems. It runs as its own channel rather than as an automatic fallback from RCS.
Can messages be in Tamil, Hindi or other languages?
Multilingual message templates and customer journeys can be implemented for the languages your customers use, as part of your project's scope.
Is CrystalPro a Google partner?
No. CrystalPro provides RCS Business Messaging implementation and integration services. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google.
How do customers consent and opt out?
Promotional messages should only go to customers who have opted in. Opt-out handling, including STOP keywords for SMS, is built into the workflows according to each channel's rules and DLT requirements where applicable.
